Read the exact reward benefit
Confirm the item, discount, upgrade, service, or benefit the customer is entitled to receive. Do not substitute cash or another product unless the retailer’s rules expressly allow it.
Confirm transaction conditions
Check eligible items, minimum purchase, excluded products, branch restrictions, valid days or times, and expiry. Apply the same published conditions to every customer.
Explain any restriction clearly
If the transaction is not eligible, explain the relevant condition politely before proceeding. Ask a supervisor when a term is unclear rather than guessing or creating an exception.
